Are there anyone make money/good money promoting CB products using PPC direct linking? Some guru said it's waste of money, is it true?

    Thanks

    Here is the truth:
There are people who make money (and good money) through PPC direct linking. There are people who are really wasting money there, like the guru said.

The point? We don't know. It's possible, but hard with competitive products because of the one URL rule. You can try your luck with this or start with another method. It's your choice and your money.

Just remember: when you use PPC, you need to finds the keywords that convert, otherwise your budget will be wasted. Make sure you know what you're doing.

Direct linking works, but the problem is the display url competition. Obviously, you can do DL on products that have no competition, but after I have found a good product that converts through direct linking, I would set-up a simple landing page with my review on it, to even further increase the conversion rate.

    Thank you, guys,

I have a question: If more than 1 affiliate do direct linking for the same product, they have the same display URL - which one will be shown? The one that pays more per click?

No, it will not be the one that pays more per click. It will be the one that pays most for Google, and that's the importance of CTR.

If someone is bidding $1 per click and gets a 1% CTR, then every impression of his ad is worth approximately $0.01 for Google. If someone is getting 2% CTR, he can bid only $0.51 to get a better position and win the URL. The reason is that every impression of the other advertiser is worth Google $0.0102, which is more than $0.01.

Build CTR, lower your bids, and read Google's FAQ.
