    Hi Everyone,

    i would like to ask,

does pining help to optimize our site?

If yes, then a question comes that can we use it as a professional tool for getting top position in searches.

how google see pinging? does google has any robot for capturing the pinging data?]]

i hope this would be helpful for everyone.

    thanks in advance

I think pinging is the way to fetch your url's to the search engine. Now it's on search engine's hand how much time take to add these url's to their database.

Pinging is mostly done for blogs. Also you can ping your sitemaps XML. It can be done to get all your webpages indexed. It may or may not change your SERP.

    Follow these steps:

1.Create a sitemap so all pages on your website at http://sitemaps.org or at http://freesitemapgenerator.com

2.Once you have created a sitemap.xml you have to ping your sitemap.

Softplus at Cre8asite Forums posted the URLs you can use to ping the various engines. Here they are:

    Ask.com: http://submissions.ask.com/ping?sitemap=http%3A//www.domain.com/sitemap.xml
    Google: http://www.google.com/webmasters/sitemaps/ping?sitemap=http:%3A//www.domain.com/sitemap.xml
    Yahoo: http://search.yahooapis.com/SiteExplorerService/V1/updateNotification?appid=YahooDemo&url=http://www.domain.com/sitemap.xml

    Hope these help.
