does phpld have an affiliate mod?

I was curious if there is a mod for phpld where affiliates can sign up and if they sell the links they can get a percentage of the sale..

I use the second one and I'm happy with it (although support for the product sucks). I believe that TerryUK uses the first one and is happy with it.

 

Does the software have or create any bugs jeff? Any payment or processing errors? You thinks it good to have referral software with a directory?

No, I don't know of an affiliate mod other than what onlinedude was talking about.

I believe it could be well worth for a high PR directory.
Many people cannot afford making a high PR directory, but might know how to promote.

 

I believe there is no Affiliate mod for phpLD.

But you can use any existing Affiliate program and it will work just great. My personal favorite is http://www.idevdirect.com/

Though I haven't used it myself but I think its the best out there.

If you are a licensed owner of phpLD they do have an affiliate MOD that was just released.
In Fact I'm installing it now

 

When should your directory start a affiliate program?
I don't think people are willing to join it except botw, and a few popular directories such as jeff's.

 

That's a good question, Wallace. The whole "Internet Marketing" area is a HUGE industry though. People come up with all kinds of marketing schemes (some of them "hair brained") I don't completely understand it myself, but we have certainly had our share of requests for an affiliate mod (download if you have access). I think what many marketers do is have so many different things going at once that they don't know where the money will come from next, but it is always coming from somewhere. So they may have some affiliate links on their website for the directory listings, among many other things they are promoting. There are also directories that have an appeal to internet marketers.
