    Hi,

There's a little bit confusion in my mind. I want to clear it here. I have seen that paypal deducts some fees on every transactions done at business PP acc's.

But does it deducts fees also in case of a personal Paypal account? However, I have a personal PP, and paypal never deducted fees in any of my transactions. Nevertheless, I want to clear out the confusion created by one of my frnds "Whether paypal deducts fees from transactions made at personal accounts?"

They do if you receive payments backed by credit cards. Furthermore, you can only accept payments of the same nature up to five times within one year.

No fees if you use a personal account. However, if someone pays you with a credit card (like LayLifeScience said), there will be huge fees (compared to a business account), and you can only get paid 5 times via credit card.

Okay, the thing is that the Personal Account is supposed to be a Send Only account and as the name and the Paypal FAQ's stated, it is made for you to make purchases with only. You are not allowed to sell with a Personal account but you may receive funds through Mass Pay and if your friends return you some money for the previous night pub affair. But strictly no selling. So to encourage more potential customers, personal accounts are free.

Thus to encourage people from spending, personal paypal accounts are free.

However, there are people here who abused this loophole of receiving funds and use it for business. But once Paypal finds out about it, they could be prompted to provide evidence of payment and thereby be levied a fee.

It is free for personal accounts unless the funds are from a credit card then it is quite big.
