does paypal accept indian debit cards..?

Hi friends,

I have been trying to get my debit card verified by paypal but it always denies saying contact you bank ....
When i asked my bank (Indian Overseas Bank) they said their debit cards will not be accepted by Paypal...

So would someone kindly suggest a bank whose debit card is accepted by paypal......

None. Only credit cards work with PayPal. So, get one CC or else use Bank account to verify your PP.

And can "Virtual Credit Card" be accepted in PayPal...

 

You can use any bank. All are good. But you can use HDFC, AXIS, etc. as they are private and faster than other banks.
And yes, VCC can be used too.

Yes, because if you use a VCC and if PP gets limited you can't provide statements since its a VCC and not real card.

Verify your PayPal account using your bank account, if you want to only receive money.
Get a Credit Card, to pay using PayPal.
Or
Get International debit card from ICICI Bank, to pay using PayPal.

 

So are you saying i can do my transaction with a debit card...(and i dont need a credit card for that)

All debit cards won't work with PayPal. Only selected International Debit Cards (e.g. ICICI International Debit Card)
But better get a Credit Card.

 

I am just a student and i am not earning, thatz why i am prefering a debit card...

I had Visa marked IDBI bank card,,,I thought it will work but again disappointment. Its not working.
ICICI international debit card works? What charges they take for that card??
And using VCC your paypal get limited.

 

I also heard that using VCC your card becomes insecure...

 

one of my friend was using HDFC card which give facility to make VCC for 3 days validity.
Since every time card number chages, you can't use it at multiple times,,now his account is limited.

 

Can he still make payments via that HDFC card...

 

No debit card is accepted in PayPal. Try getting a prepaid card from HDFC for better use of PayPal.

 

Yes, it works as a CC and can be used on any site which accepts CC or PayPal via CC directly. I mean paying to a pp user without PP account and just by a CC, thats where VCC Works!
