Hi DP members, I have a new tech blog for which I need advice. Should I go for free blog submission or paid blog submission? Does blog submission really worth getting traffic. Look forward to your opinion. Regards, Suhail
Let us see your blog so that we can tell you if it's worth it or not. Odds are, there are a ton of other things that you need to do before you start spending money on advertising and promotion, or you will be wasting your money.
Well If you want to go for paid advertising then choose blogs with High pr like http://portal.eatonweb.com/ with page rank 6 there are more such directories. Try some free ones.check my post http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=2020847
If you only monetization is adsense, my opinion is that you should not. I would exhaust all of my efforts on SEO and try to build traffic naturally first before you start paying for submissions. A new blog needs time to build links and readers and I don't believe that paying for any kind of traffic, just for adsense revenue is worth it unless you have some kind of arbitrage formula worked out that makes it worth your while. I'd spend money making the blog better first. It's pretty plain and there is really nothing special about it over 1000 other "tech" blogs out there. JMO
Wise words JMO. Can you point out some surefire ways to build traffic. Though I am working on blog commenting and sharing posts on social network but I am hardly done with any other SEO technique. Very right, blog looks too plain. It is build on blognet. I still not been able to find any better theme than this on blognet. Do you think changing the theme and by improving looks of the blog, it will make an impact. I am thinking about Wordpress but it is not an option for me at the moment.
There is no quick "surefire" way to build traffic. You have to do it all...SEO, promotion, networking...but most of all you need good content, not just a repeat of things that can be found anywhere, or at least have an interesting spin on it. Yes, of course a better design will enhance credibility and user experience. You can't blog on a budget these days and expect to make any money. At the very least you should have your own hosting, a decent domain, and a good design, but ultimately it's the content that will make or break you.
Paid traffic is good but if you're in the mood for backlinking, free traffic is fine. Would be easier if you have good keyword or on page.
