I don't have idea about this but I know that backlinks and content are the one that Google counts in grading your site.
The page review is for you, to make your site better. Google bots are looking strictly at content, and traffic - in that order.
My theory is that pageviews are very important to ranking. If a user types keyword "dog training tips" and then they visit the first 5 sites and bounce right back out and then they reach number 6 in the SERP and see your website, and they get blown away by the amount and quality of content you have. So, they stick around and view more pages from you. When Google sees that (and it can), it'll push your website higher in the SERPs because Google wants people to find what they're looking for quickly. And searcher behavior on your site indicates that they love your site.
pageview does not affect your site rank. If pageview affect site rank, we can have a software which automatically view our website
Pageviews are irrelevant to optimisation and if they were factored into the optimisation process there would be a privacy issue, with Google using site metric information relating to your website without your prior knowledge or consent. So no, it doesn't play a role in determining who ranks where in the serps.
it depends on whether your pages were viewed by unique visitors or returning visitors. Unique visitors bring traffice to your site.
Since most sites use Google Analytics and since all web traffic passes through DNS which Google has access to, Google knows exactly what traffic a site has and if a site has traffic it means it offers useful content for its visitors so it may rank higher
Toni.blue that is a very paranoid view you have! If Google we're doing this the European Union and other organisations would be up in arms suing everybody for privacy infringements, so I doubt it...especially since you can still opt out of sharing any information through analytics with them.
i think page views for a particular site will have its impact on the website as well as to that respective page.
