Important ? - Yes Important ? - No It depends on what you consider or for what you give important. Apart from all above (yes/no) the main important thing is conversions/sales/revenue Regards.
A lot of people say that it is not important. And for a professional webmaster it is not important. But I find it useful as a tool to tell me if I am doing things right. If I can get my sites to +PR4 then I know I am on the right track. And if all else fails you can always sell links of sites with PR4 and better . FFMG
Yes, i agree with you. Google search, PR and Adsense are totally different things although they have a small relation If you get more inbound clicks from google search engines= You must have high page rank= More bots+people in your page= =more $$$ from Adsense
I think they are intimately intertwined. High PR implies better search result performance, which in turn implies more traffic. With more traffic, you have higher pageviews and clicks.
As far as I understand it, yes it is. The idea been, that if a site decides to link to your site then you must be a fairly 'ok' site. But there are a few other factors, like how many other links are on the page, the page rank of the page linking to you and the context of the link, (was it a link in an article or just a link at the bottom of the page). The most important factor is the page rank of the page linking to you and the number of links on that particular page. It is always good to link with high PR pages with few links. I would not link with a PR5 page with 100 out going links, instead it would be much better to have the link on a PR4 page with 5-10 links to share the PR
The only(?) thing to do, get more back links . Write articles and submit them all over the place, Ask similar websites if you can exchange links with them. Submit to directories. Write contents that are so good that people will want to links back to them And then remember that PRs are only updated every 3 or so months, so no mater how many back links you manage to get, you will not see the actual changes before that time. Writing articles is a good way to get your website's linked from a higher PR website. I use SearchWarp, Ezinearticles, ArticleDepot and Amazines.
You guys may be too quick dismissing importance of PR of a page for AdSense. I mean, to prove that it affects CPM would be a grand task indeed (needs a lot of statistics), but I'm certain about one thing: homepage (which normally is the highest PR page of the site) usually yields higher CPM than the rest of the site. Why do you think is that?
