Does Pagerank increase only with backlinks??

    I don't agree that backlinks are great factor in PR counting. Bcz my friend site has only 1 backlink but PR is 2

    Pr do depends on the number of backlinks but the backlinks should be with relevant websites and good Pr. And traffic of the website also matters for the website.

    To improve page rank, write quality content. Instead of writing a short 50 word paragraphs on coconut pills, you could also include the benefits of taking them orally.

    Yes the page rank is totally depend on link building the higher the link popularity you have the greater chance you have to get high pr from google.

    i think it is depending on backlinks from high page rank site. you should have to make backlinks from high PR sites. it will help to increase your PR :)

    On an individual site and individual query basis, not really.

    But on an overall basis looking at the big picture, I find that an increase of backlinks has proven to drive my site and several other upward on page one. And since PR is related to links, I'd say that PR is still a decent benchmark to keep an eye on.

    So in other words, the relevancy of the page and domain that the link is from and the authority of the domain linking to you are the things that are really important in PR calculations.

    its not the quantity of backlinks its the quality of them. You do need some low pr BL's to support those quality BL's however.
