    Hello,

Some of my sites dropped page rank so I am wondering if it affects in SEO or not.

Can anyone please tell me if this will affect my seo or not.

I have not changed anything in my sites lately.

    Thanks.

PR doesn't matter anymore. I believe M. Cutts and also Google Blog pretty much came out saying this.

I sure don't pay attention to it anymore - it hasn't effected me one bit.

    Hi,

No, it doesn't - It is merely a rough guide based on how popular a site is.

PR is just a physical representation of a web page that is given by Google and it does not have much importance when it comes into SEO.

PR has no importance in rankings, it only showing that how much percentage your site following the Google algorithm.

No!!! But if you're very particular in selling links, you should mind it. I don't mind PR.

    Hi,

Generally speaking, PR drop would not have instant affects on your SERP since it is only a ranking factor among other more than 200 factors. But, I would like to recommend you to find out the reasons behind such PR drop since PR drop would usually result in decreasing of your page contents and back link quality.

    all the best,

PR is one of the hundred(s) of factors that google take in account to rank a site for certain keywords in the result pages nut it is not that important. There are sites/pahes that ramnk very well without PR 0.

"Pages that we [Google] believe are important pages receive a higher PageRank and are more likely to appear at the top of the search results" ... ©2010 Google

I'll stick with Google's quite clear statement on PR, rather than the "PR is useless" error that is repeated endlessly on this forum.

Yes if your PR is good then the chances of coming your page on the top 10 is higher but still it is not the major factor for getting the page one rankings.
