Does Page Rank Matter for Search Position?

    Is it correct that the Page Rank is important for search positions. I would really appreciate some professional advice here. Please send in your thoughts and opinions to the post.

    I don't think PR is important factor in SERP. I have seen sites with No PR beating PR5 sites. It's all about optimizing your page with decent amount of backlinks.

    PR is one of the factor that affect the SERPs a stated by Google, but I would say not an important one. All you need to focus:
    1. On page SEO
    2. Off page SEO

    PR doesn't appear to directly influence rankings, or if it does then it's not a high factor. However, the same methods (backlinking) affect both rankings and PR, so PR is usually indicative of good SEO, therefore good rankings.
