Does Page Rank depend on Time Factor ?

    I used to run my blog on http://www.thila.ropage.com, but last month in moved my blog to a new domain name (http://www.tech-buzz.net)

    My new Domain name has more incoming links than the previous one, but still its PR is 0 whereas the PR of my old URL is 4

    Does Google Page rank depend upon time factor ?

    no.. it doesn;t matter on time. My new site has gone from pr 0 - pr-3 . It is just 2 months or so old. So i don't think time factor really kicks in !!

    ..:: peace ::..

    Yes it depends on time. Google updates the backlinks at sometime earlier than the PR update. Any modifications that you do to your site after that update will not reflect on your PR.

    IT works simply, ever 3-4 monts there is PR update.
    Every day google ranks and indexes sites.

    If your site gets indexed including backlinks before PR update then you will see PR, else you have to wait till next PR.

    anyway, PR wont make you more or less traffic; it's links and content that you build while hopping for better PR;

    PR is only a commodity when exchangin/selling links;

    Did you use a 301 redirect to direct your old blog & it's links to your new one? Otherwise you'd have to build your PR form scratch again.....

    it would depend on age of domain which is active !
    i have domain which is 5 years old and back links still in recent pr update i got a pr2 @ business forum .net
    website is active recently 2 months back though it has good enough back links, unsure why it got a low pr.

    It only depends on the time Google takes to update your PR. I’ve has new sites go from PR0 To PR4 in less than two months.

    Just another little bit of info, the age of your incoming links also matters.

    What matters is

    - The PR of incoming links
    - The environment of incoming links
    - The Age of incoming links
    - The age of your site

    Another thing, your site just might be banned from Google because it just might be linking to bad neighborhoods, that could be one cause of PR not going up

    The period of time a domain name has been registered for is also a factor, according to the google patent. This was emphasized by the (self proclaimed) #1 domain registrar godaddy.com a while ago to encourage registrations of longer periods.
