Does Page loading time influence how Google will rank it?

    Hi guys,

I was wondering does page speed influence how Google ranks the page. From my personal experience it might be true, here is what happened:
My Web page was on one very slow server, it took about 10 sec to load the page (I'm measuring with google webmasters tools). I switched to new server (faster one) and from than on average loading time is 5 sec (2 times faster). The thing is- from than on number of visitors from Google also increased (about 40%). This could be just a coincidence but who knows.

Do any of you have similar experiences with Google/ page speed?
    BR Gregor

actually our right dude.. PR rank has something to do with the number of visiotrs you receive in your website, if your site was hosted on a slow server, or let say it took so long, or your sites was too laggy, then the tendency would be VISITORS will leave your site..now its up to them to return or not!..but if your site was worth returning for, then probably reaching high PR wasnt that difficult..

Nope...page loading will not affected our site SERP....
it just affected the visitor to our site.....Mostly, visitor will run away from our site if our site take long time to load....

I believe the time user stays on your site is taken into consideration when Google determines your rank.
You should also be working on speed optimization anyways for your users

Yes it does! As outlined by Google recently, faster sites are promoted before slow ones. Milliseconds won't make a difference but slow loading sites are considered problem sites. And they are. If your site is slow to load, chances are people won't tolerate that and won't visit as often. It's a dis-service to send someone your way in such a case, too.

    Hi,

Right, page loading time has been declared as a ranking factor this year by Google but I don't think it would have such important impacts on SERP. Of course, having a quicker page loading time would be really helpful in increasing user experiences. :)

    all the best,

yes it does because slower site's got penalized by google
if your search engine traffic is low then you will get lower page rank

Yes, load time now matters. This is a very recent addition to the algorithm. Most likely, it's only been widely available in public SERPs since about the middle of October. But, it's there. Load time matters.

Matt Cutts spoke at PubCon basically saying it's not something you should worry about too much, and that it's mainly only a matter of not having a "VERY" slow page... That's it.

yeah , page load time is also a factor for ranking pages.
But as far as i know it's time to load the source code of your site and not all the graphics and flashes.

Page loading time never affect the pr. but for getting most traffic you should reduce the page loading time
