Does one site affect another?

Will smart pricing affect one site or all the sites in your adsense account? Just started a new site that has a horrible CTR and suddenly all my other sites are producing 1 cent clicks!

 

I'd guess it is by site. Here is a quote from Google's intro to smart pricing:

 

I can't believe this! Such a huge drop in earnings since adding new sites!!

Example:
$50 a day total with 5 sites.
$5 a day total with 8 sites.

.....how discouraging =(

 

What the heck. Got any more details and statistics, and what sites you added?

I think there is nothing to discourage even if your income falls. We should always think positively so that we can always find ways in raising our income through adsense. After all there's nothing that can bet a man with positive thinking. I learn this lesson through the Naruto story.

 

Based on my experience, a site couldn't affect negatively the entire earning of your Adsense, intead, a low earning site will be a help to your other sites so that you'll be earning more.

I have more than 50 sites and all of them are considered low traffic sites. But there are times that one site earns higher than the others. But each site although earns only cents but when summed up, I got a satisfactory result.

 

If so I would (maybe) build another site with topics like your good sites or if you can close this new site (?)

But my experiance are others:
-on my Free eCard site ist very bad CTR
-on my photoshop portal ist middle CTR
-on my Secretarial Service site is very good CTR

But I also dont know all because Iam new to Adsense since Mart 2005.

I'll monitor it for another week to see if anything changes, today's stats are the worst ever =(
