Does one month link on pr7 site helps!

Hi,

I have a new site and I am planning to get a pr7+ link for one month.
I might renew the link if I am happy with the traffic else not. So I want to know if the one month link one such pr site with more then 100K traffic going to help me from SEO point of view. Site is already listed with 20+ pages indexed. Money is not an issue but I don't want to waste it just because I can.

I'm not sure if having it there for one month would be enough, but I definitely think it would help out, with regards to your search engine rank and PR.

 

according to some members and seo sites the link should be atleast for 3 months to have any effect, so i m little confused

PR7 link - if you think this as an IBL, you get lot of credit but the question can be, how many other IBLs are on the page.

There are lots and lots of pages with such high PR but you ought to think, will it bring me Traffic or will it bring me a good boost in SERP?

It can bring some traffic if your link stands out amongst others and boost in SERP if the page is relevant to yours!

Spend it wisely.

The link may not improve your rankings for the targeting keyword much, but I do believe it will help you with indexing your site and the depth/frequency of crawl.

I'm guessing that the link will point to your home page? I would be sure that you're linking to and using the appropriate anchor text for your most important pages and create a site map linked to from your top level pages. This should help with getting more pages indexed.

 

Getting a backlink on a PR7 site for a month has a specific purpose. It will get a new site indexed in a week. That is it.

Of course this forum is a PR7 so just list the new site(Domain spelled out) in your sig.

3 months is what I would suggest, it gives enough time for google to notice, index and pass on any SEO effect to your site. 1 month is too short IMO.

Though the site is new but the domain is already registered (as a matter of fact it has pr2).

Traffic from such site would be related to my link position etc so my question in this thread was about any SEO benefit from such high pr site but duration of only 1month.

I would put sitemap as soon as I finalize on the site layout/pages.

 

It will certainly help in frequent indexing of your website........
