Does # of posts on front page matter?

Does the number of posts you have on your front page help/hurt search engine positions or anything like that? Like I want to switch from 5 posts on the front page to one post, so will that hurt me? I post everyday if that helps.

It will affect your ads on your front page, if you're using Adsense/Yahoo

Good point I never thought of that. I am using AdSense so I guess I might not switch to one post. Thanks!

Content should always be king. If your content is 'scattered', are of different categories or niches, are kinda fair paying per click, and if you post regularly, and you hate taking risks, afraid of losing the existing revenue by experimenting for higher paying ads, then you should stick to what you have now.

If you are opposite then go for it and it might just click!
