Does number of page index by yahoo really helps?

    I have a friend with very large site, which yahoo index more than 87,000 pages. But when I ask her if she got lot of traffic she said averaging only 100 unique per day.

    So is this a prove that number of pages index by yahoo is not a matter to get more traffic from them?

    Yahoo hardly provides any traffic anyway.

    It all depends on where the pages rank for different search terms. Having thousands of low ranked pages will not help with traffic.

    It doesn't prove anything, she has some serious SEO'ing to do. Number of pages is usually a blackhat strategy. Is there any content on the pages? Is any of it original ?

    Agreed, getting pages listed is one thing, getting them ranked high is a whole other ball game
