have you heard about google webmaster tools? Add a site there and you will see that nofollow backlinks appear as links pointing to your site. And yes, google shows that!
I hope you know that the backlink must be indexed first by google so you can see it in the webmaster tools right?
The same place where you can see all the backlinks. (just a tip: Google webmaster tools should be a main resource if you want to rank high on google, so learn how to use it)
Same thread again the OP starts the thread and never comes back to reply in his own started thread ?? It seems after the question he asked in his thread while starting it, he never had any questions later Well even if it is a nofollow or dofollow, those are all registered as backlinks to your site. The only thing google has updated in its algorithm is the nofollow links will not have any importance or value to the page it is been directed. So there will be no help in any way for the pagerank of the site at the receiving end. However you dont have to worry about the type of links you create, just try to get more and more backlinks for your site and make sure you top in the SERPs Hope that helps!!!!
Back links (or back-links [UK]) are incoming links to a website or web page. So there is no matter where it is do follow or no-follow..its simply a back link. I want to say that if link is no follow then you cant say the Its useless. even no-follow also gives growth in search engine position if it come from relevant site. Thank you
Also look in Google webmaster account you can see websites linking to your pages- I have many no follow but still Google webmaster account shows them as a back link. that's why back link is back link...only difference is Follow pass credit/PR and no follow doesn't pass.
No follow links are countless links, they are not valuable as do follow links from google point of view.
Nofollow links didnt count your backlinks in google if u get one nofollow link from another site that is waste of your backlink time. Google support dofollow links only.
