does nofollow link count as a back link in google

Even i m little confused about this. No follow links are considered as back links or not still i need some more information as these are nofollow link then crawler will not follow.

 

Currently people do not like no follow link but i am sure in coming time they will be counted as backlink provided they are coming from authority website not spam kind of links and their age on that page will be the key.

Google give no weight to nofollow links on a page if they mix with dofollow give some weight but google crawled nofollow also.

 

Google counts the back link but it does not pass link juice just you can get traffic from there.

 

Nofollow means commercial links. When you add "nofollow" to your external link, you are telling google that "this is a paid link. do not follow this and do not share my authority with this link."

NO Follow is just to mean to give visitors nothing else. This attribute means that the site A doesnt endorse your link and therefore give him no credit.

if you have nofollow backlinks in bulk then it would give you a boost for sure.

Never, No Follow link are not crawled by google but i think these are still important to give a natural look to your number of backlinks

 

Ok, I've read a lot of opinions on this thread but I have to tell you something, those that say "nofollow links are not crawled by google" or "nofollow backlinks do not count in google" don't know SEO as well as they wish to.
Here's the proof that NOFOLLOW backlinks count in GOOGLE:
1. make an account to Webmaster Tools on Google.
2. add you site to the control panel
3. assuming that you know which backlinks are dofollow and which are nofollow check out the backlinks report for you site in Googles webmater tools.

Well, I tell you that those Nofollow backlinks appear like valid backlinks for you site ( and yes, google says so)

I think the guy is right. I have notice that Google is counting lot of links from yahoo answers for me even though yahoo answers is nofollow.

 

google never said that nofollow links do not count. The only thing they said is that nofollow links don't pass PR

 

How anyone explain that Google don't count nofollow links. please explain and post a example
