I was wondering if the temporary serp boost for new sites works for .blogspot.com blogs? or do I have to register a .com or .info name?
Google tends to work on pages, so there's a good chance that you'll still receive a honeymoon period while hosted on blogspot. I'm pretty sure I've seen particular pages on my site receive the honeymoon period apart from the domain, so (while I'm not certain) I would guess you're in good shape either way. -geis
I would agree - it seems that blogs that I've run that have a .com and blogs that have a .blogspot.com are treated about equally for the honeymoon period.
it works for blogspot blogs too.I have seen some of my new articles in newest blog gain an upperhand over other blogs.
temporary serp works for all new web pages... they float near the top for a couple weeks and then quickly drop off.. good backlinks can help you stay afloat
