Does my site load slow? How can I fix this or improve it? Please help!

I have a CMS desgined website www.fantasy-pc.com

It has flash, html, php, scrolling script, many images, lots of text, and more.
It loads quick sometimes and slow sometimes. There is lots of content on the homepage. I also have a 99.9% reliable host uptime at resellerzoom.com .

When I check here I can see its ping speed test: http://www.hostpulse.com/hosting/networktools/pingresult.asp

It seems normal and quick to me but maybe that ping test doesn't display the images, flash, etc. but just the homepage response time which is different.

I want some people to help me out here. At the bottom there is a page generation timer at the footer of the homepage.

If you could tell me how long it takes for you to load the site after 3 tries and give me the average I would TRULY appreciate it.

Also if anyone has any help for me to improve the load speed of the site please do, the forums also run kind of slow and that reduces posting activity as people are tired of waiting!

So is there anyway to improve this thanks!

 

have you looked at the system load of your server?

 

Server Load 3.19 (4 cpus)

That is exactly how it is in my Web Host Manager through cpanel

Edit now it is:

Server Load 3.11 (4 cpus)

 

a server load of 3 is nothing to worry about if your site is getting tarffic and you have other sites on your server.

might pay to check and see whats running, however you site loaded quickly for me (im on 10mb broadband tho)

I am using DSL 1.2 megabites per second from a bandwidth test.

Its loading ok for me too. But sometimes it goes slow.

I asked some other members they say its fine, but sometimes it goes slow.

I guess its just that random times slowness. Thanks guys.

By the way the traffic right now is:

9,000-9,600 hits daily.
137 uniques daily.

 

you can use this websites peed test to check the load time if you want. btw, it loads quick imo

 

Try installing e acesslater and if it still loads slow then upgrade ram.Is it vps or dedicated server?

Well since you are on reseller.Maybe the whole server is slow due to some other sites not yours.I recommend you that purchase a cheap vps

Well everybody says it loads fine for them.

So I will see if i can get VPS.

 

Cheap VPS is a nice option, after all in a shared hosting plan there are lots of sites that are hosted on a single server.
vps is a slightly better option than a dedicated server.

 

I just fixed my pc up and restored it so it runs like a charm.

Now my site loads fast for me thanks guys!

 

vps may be a cheaper solution, but that doesn't mean it's a better one.

it's all about what you need. in plenty of cases a dedicated is the right choice, and in plenty of others a vps is.

Well you have to consider I am less than 16 years old so I do not have too much money.

 

hmm okay but if your site is getting much traffic then you can earn good money and can sepnd it on hosting

It gets about 9,500 hits daily from this month november.

I checked AWSTATS and total of hits since Nov.1 to Nov.26 is 245,952.

I get 150 Uniques daily, from Nov.1 to Nov.26 total of 3983 uniques.

So I only get a 2 digit amount of adsense earnings less than 45$ but higher than 25$

Although I had elite member subscriptions for special features and was paid 25$ from 3 people all together.
I also do some link sales I have accumulated 81.04$ from.
