I have a site from which I'm selling an ebook. My how-to gives steps for ebook writing & sales copywriting. I'm hoping some writers in here will take a look at the site and let me know if the copy "speaks" to you... http://ebookstrategies101.com I am clearly pitching my ebook to aspiring how-to authors. But I'm also hoping that freelance writers see value in purchasing the material, to either start ghostwriting ebooks and/or go into long sales letter writing. One freelance writer who bought it LOVED it; I'll have to add her testimonial. But in general, do you get the sense there's something you could get from this material? Do I need to add a paragraph specifically addressing freelance writers? PS I'd love it if you become an affiliate for this ebook, if you have a blog or website!
Maybe no copywriters check this REVIEW thread. But if anyone -- copywriter or not -- could take a look and give me your opinion, I'd appreciate it: http://ebookstrategies101.com/Clickbank_New
Here are my thoughts: The line that captured my imagination and let me wonder how fantastic your site would look with a better design. "Ebook Immersion The DEEP Secrets to Creating & Selling Ebooks!" Secrets make me think of finding lost treasure and uncover things better left in the past or with a select few. Think of a better design. Ask people in the freebie forum to contribute with a nice looking minisite perhaps? You may get lucky if you offer to keep the designer's name intact at the bottom of the page as the person who designed it. Now beyond that. Please don't get offended. I think a lot of people do not realise this, but if you are trying to sell an ebook on how to create ebooks etc. You shouldn't come off as so 'sales-person-like.' Honestly, reading that it makes me wonder... "If they are doing so good because of the economy, then why try and sell me this ebook?" I know it sounds stupid right? But from a normal person's perspective they will think that, do not doubt that. Rather your copy should focus on what you can offer different. There are tons of ebooks out there that offer information on how to create ebooks. Lots of them are for free. How is your product different from theirs? What can you offer that makes you so special? These are all things people think about. For example... You say the following: "What's so great about that? Well for one, I have the privilege of working with a slew of very smart people... Internet pioneers... They often tell me secret formulas for how they make money online!" In that sentence alone it tells me one thing. You assume that most people are dumb or don't know anything, and you only associate yourself with smart people. What if you could capture your reader's imagination. Have you ever wondered why women and men love magazines with real life stories? Because it appeals to them on so many levels. Grab an inspirational story from somewhere and start to draw your reader in. If you want to let them know what they don't have, you will have to be quite tactful or else most people might find your copy to their distaste. This is criticism and you asked for it, so I will tell you what I see. Of course lots of others may see it different. The next person may not know any better and see it and say, "Fantastic site! It looks great and I like your copy." That in itself doesn't tell you anything about your site or even if the person looked at it. Someone may genuinely like it, but com'on...I have been around the internet marketing scene for quite a few years now and your copy doesn't say anything different than any other site out there that has an ebook on the same topic. If I were you, I would approach it from a different angle. Personally, I would go for the real story drama. People love stories. Don't just tell a soppy story and then try to hard-sell the person after a couple of lines...make it real. Research online if anyone has actually made a huge success from creating and selling their own ebooks. See if you can interview the person and get all the really good details into your copy. Don't talk so much about yourself. People don't want to hear about it. I know some guru's do love talking about how great their bank accounts are, but it's classic how many people actually talk bad of these guru's behind their backs when they are not around. In the end people might follow like sheep, but they have a mind. If they feel ripped off and feel there is no value to a site after they purchased a product, they will question it and then you will get a refund request. Give something of value. These are the thoughts I had and basically I hope you enjoy your day! Work on it and you will become a success. p.s. The cash and stuff and the design seems a bit 'scam-like' and people may not trust the site. Getter a better design.
To me it looks like just another sales copy. I was not convinced to buy the ebook..above post gives some valid point that I think needs to be implemented...Try something unique also add a few bonuses if you can....

Thanks Sarah & Ripple. You both provided me so much excellent feedback. Sarah, your advice is very helpful and I'm definitely going to follow it. I appreciate that you wrote at length, in detail. So many times, people don't give you enough of an answer for you to really 'get it.' But your points are clear and strong. Check back with my site in a few days for updates.
PS Sarah, I sure am sorry you took my saying I work with smart people as an offense. But the truth is, there are tons of people online who ARE still learning lots of things. Not everyone even knows that great forums like DP exist. I guess my point was that I work with people who're much smarter than I am about the Internet, and I learn a lot from them - and I'm happy to pass what bits I've learned to any newbies who're interested. I will remove that statement from my site, though. I don't want you or anyone else to feel like I'm being an elitist. Thanks again.
Hey all, I'm doing some updating on my site right now, so I kind of have it down under construction. If interested in providing feedback, please check it on the weekend. I hope to have all-new heat going on by them. ;-)
