I have posted on many forums. The general feedback has been that "your site is a scam" but honestly Its no scam, I'm really getting but there is no advertisers. If you read into FAQ I think its a really really genuine idea, but what im looking for is: why does my site feels like a scam? what is wrong visually? do you feel safe buying redirections on my site? Loading times are they short ? Would greatly appreciate any and all recommendations for improving my site [/quote] http://animatedhomepage.com/blog/frequently-asked-questions-about-this-blog/
Ahah, I think that's a great idea. I'm not sure why others say it feels like a scam... seems fine to me. But seeing as it is such a great idea, I'd get rid of adsense all together and try to promote it without that distraction. If anything, add it after your idea is popular and trusted. The other thing is, stats are a huge part of your idea... and having people go to an entirely different website to see them is bad. imo. My best suggestion as of now is to setup haveamint.com on your website and suck out the the stats onto a page on your site. Then it's all integrated and looks professional. (You can optionally make mint public, but then that's just recreating the problem, partly.)
I've been working with this idea for a while now. People have never told me my site looks like a scam.
Nice site man! The only thing that seems slightly "scamish" to me is that it feels like I would be buying random untargeted traffic from you. Which is fine.. but potential advertisers on my site might not think so. Like say I run an automotive forum where there are all kinds of various automotive related topics and most of the posters are interested in that sort of thing. And say I sell banner space on my page promising 10,000 impressions a day. A potential advertiser might look at that and be under the false impression that most of my traffic is from search engine referrals or type-ins from people genuinely interested in automotive stuff.. where most of my traffic may in-fact be just random people who couldn't care less about anything automotive related and just happen to have been redirected to my site by animatedhomepage.com.. in which case they really won't be interested in my advertiser's banners. Don't get me wrong, as just a visitor who wants to see a random web page animatedhompage.com is a fantastic idea! But I could see how someone could use it to get some high traffic numbers for the sole purpose of giving the illusion that that run a popular site. Or maybe I just misunderstand how the site works
Looks like you did a nice job there, I agree with the others as well, Its NICE site Yea , also agree with rentdn , make that bg nicer Hope that helps !
Seems a fair idea. New ideas genereally don't get accepted easily. Probably better presentation would be required to make it look genuine.
I have obviously gone and looked at your site since you made these changes but I think it looks great. It is well written, a great concept and I think the graph you have makes it look professional.
You know I would hand pick some really good sites (I don't know if you have) and just put in some good sites that people will be really happy to land on and that have no commercial intent. I would also play down the advertising thing, maybe have a "submit a site button," where users can submit a site and then you prompt them in the end that if the site has any commercial intent $15 charge is needed to "quality check" the site.
Doesn't look like a scam to me - dont know what kinda people you dealin with. However, to better it, you could put that adsense in a less "bold" place, in sidebar or sumthin. You should also have more stats and referrers to people who actually use it. Also consider submitting it to a social networking site such as Digg - but pretend to be a third-party person so people dont think you're spamming.
