http://iceangel89.blogspot.com i know i posted this link and some of u have gone to chk and so far its ok. i am about to remove the AdBrite (Footer) cos it somehow displays AdSense Ads instead of AdBrite with may "look" like AdSense erm maybe this doesn't make too much sense but any way i can put all 3 Google referrals? AdSense, AdWords & Firefox? i read in 1 site (http://www.quickonlinetips.com/archives/2005/05/15-common-mistakes-by-google-adsense-publishers/ ) but like not in google TOS that i cant. or am i wrong?
Looking good. I would ditch the "Ads for Google" title since it's a bit redundant. And I would probably get a wide skyscraper in there - 160 x 600. I also haven't heard great things about the Google Search so I'm not sure that's worth your time. You might be able to maximize that space with something else - something to think about. Overall though it looks nice.
hey the google search is useful! i normally use google to search so sometimes i use that and i can use that to search my other sites too but looks like it does not produce any results for now. and the ads can earch me $$ too! i put all 3 referals is that all right? or is 2 the max?
Have you modified the AdSense for search code? I don't remember the width being that wide... Modification to any AdSense code is violating TOS. Also, using the AdSense for Search on your site and clicking on the ads are just as bad as clicking on the AdSense for Content ads. That's also violating AdSense TOS and listed under "click fraud."
ooo... so i think i will take down that, i did not say i click the ads my self i do google search if i need... maybe thats also considered fraud? and about the different styles i did change the styles not javascript and actually the width can be modified via google. i was thinking of making it look nice thats all. so i can't make the ads blend with my site or something?
They must've updated AdSense for search since the last time I updated mine. Yeah, it's fine--as long as NOTHING of the code was edited outside of Google's platform. About searching from your site... just be careful not to click on any of the sponsored ads. I wouldn't search since it's nice to see what others are searching for. When you search, you ruin the stats (Once again, not 100% sure AdSense for Search does this--but Google Co-op does).
nice to know that i can style the search box, i was thinking of putting a textbox background with curved borders and a glossy button, but after i do that i will probaly post here to chk with u ppl and maybe email google to chk it. if its not allowed then i remove it i was actually thinking of also like putting a "Google Search" as a default value grayed out and when the user focuses on the search box blank it out a common Javascript behaviour all this just to practice JS and also some web design, and of course to make the site nicer, thinking back, if google dont allow us to edit the styles even, i will get a show search box with a White/Black/Gray(all the colors google provide for the search box) to be put on a site like mine with a non black/white or gray BKG
You can't do anything that alters the ad code. So to add colors/background colors/glossy button, you'd have to change the AdSense search code. I asked about this a couple months ago, and AdSense team said NO. I was suggested to use Google Co-op if I wanted more customization. It's basically the same thing... so if you want to take that route, go for it. Advice: AdSense for search sucks as a source of revenue. I'd stick to optimizing AdSense for Content. You don't want your users to use the search unless necessary... cause chances of them clicking ads are a LOT less.
ooo icic, but less doesn't mean no chance, a little is still good for me really hope they click sometimes. cos i was thinking if ads like this can raise enuf, i can get a domain or maybe buy myself stuff - really hoping to get a new comp - but dunno when adsense can provide me with like $1000+ to get 1. maybe i must get a part time job - still a student
