So I'm all new to amazon and being affiliated with them. I planned to start a website selling amazon products, but all the aStores looked like crap so I decided to improvise a bit. Tell me if this one looks ok: Click Here. (It's just a test untill I fix everything) Also tell me what to adjust. I know there are some things left to be done but overall I think it's a pretty nice remix of the old aStore. The main question I want to be answered is: Would you buy from/trust a website like this?
It looks ok, but unfortunately most Internet users don't do any business outside of eBay etc! ( if at all ) so trust comes from reputation! Good luck though
I hate to say this, but I think that you'll be wasting your time and money with this approach. Not because your web page is bad, but because you're choosing to enter into a highly competitive market against more trusted competitors. Even though this is powered by Amazon, most people will buy from them instead. Amazon spent years building their customer base at a loss to get that trust. For you to get that trust, you'll have to have a site that others find useful and compelling, with this page being the sideline of that. You can see a home run example of this by looking up Harry Potter on the IMDB (Internet Movie Database). So the basic answer to you question is that there's no compelling reason to buy from your page. It's just a simple sales page, with Amazon reviews if you click on a featured title. With it's present layout, I'd go to Amazon to buy if your page sparked my interest. Work on the added value content, that's your most likely path to sales.
One more thing.... what happen to the left bottom? any design prob or something else. I can see some gap.
It looks a bit too ungrounded to me. Everything seems like it's floating in space. What others mentioned about trust is totally true. You would probably have more success doing something like a million dollars wiki or similar project. Especially if you are a young dude. Check the red paper clip project as well.
