omho, what works on google works on msn. target google and you'll get high returns on msn as well. I don't know of anyone who has high SERPs on google but low SERPs on msn.
This has always been my point, if you get a #1 you will see increased traffic. The real question is how it compares to a #1 in Google. Everyone is posting how great MSN is because it is easier to rank and therefore it SEEMS like they give more traffic. In fact I wouldn't expect Google to give more if you are on the 50th page
well I am #1 on MSN.de and Google.de for one keyword and I receive more than 70% traffic from MSN and less than 20% from Google so how does that compare for you? Unfortunately I have no MSN.com and Google.com comparison because my #1 sites on MSN.com aren't listed in Google as they are relatively new sites (2 years old, but that's new for Google)
Just to show you that Google is still top. - Google 72918 73017 - Yahoo 11134 12075 - Google (Images) 3949 4611 - Ask Jeeves 1812 1875 - AOL 938 940 - MSN 822 822
My web site has a split between Google and MSN...both accounting for about 40% of the traffic. This is with my key words being #1 on MSN and #18 on Google. Of course, if I was up higher on Google it would probable sway into Google's favor.
Before I finally got out of the "sandbox" in google I recieved the majority of my traffic from MSN ranking from 1-3 for my targeted keywords. Once I started showing up in Google my SE traffic now comes 80% from Google even though I rank from 9-11 or so and still rank from 1-3 in MSN. Though I must say thanks to MSN for at least sending me traffic during the lean google period.
Well, G doesn't rank me yet, but MSN has been providing about $30/day for being #1...I can only hope that when G gets around to ranking me, that it will be 10 times that! Don't discount MSN...Bill Gates is going to help me quit my day job before Brin and Page are
oh yes, anytime, MSN still is one amongst the biggest and with its alliance with Facebook, gives you all the more value now.
