does Master resale rights mean...

    Im just trying to getmy head around master resale rights..

    I know it means I can sell the product and keep the whole profit, and usually it means i cannot give it away, but what about the price?

    If I have master resale rights can i charge whatever I want for the product?

    Hello,
    If you have master resell rights you can do anything you want and charge any price you want. You can even say you wrote the ebook also sell it with re-sell rights or no rights at all you own them full out so make sure you take out all links that are in the ebook and put your own links in the book.

    Steve, you've got it wrong. Master resell rights mean you can sell the eBook and also sell the rights to the buyer to sell the book to others. What you're talking about - "You can even say you wrote the ebook" - is private label rights. Then you can claim authorship. Then you can change the links inside the book (which is easier in any case because you should have the source document). Concerning pricing, sometimes the author sets a minimum price so that all resellers can make a buck, instead of being undermined by one guy who sells it for one or two dollar.

    From my understanding, there are a few options for Master Resell Rights License.

    1. Master Resell Rights Only
    2. Transferable Master Resell Rights

    1. Master Resell Rights Only
    - You can sell the product and give the rights of "resell rights" to your customers. Your customers can sell the product because they have "resell rights". However, their customers cannot sell the product because they only get the personal rights (for their own use only).

    2. Transferable Master Resell Rights
    - You can sell the product and give the rights of master resell rights too to your customers. Means that, the MRR can be transferable to your customers and their customer.


    If the creator of the product also give the rights of "give away rights", then you may give the MRR product for free.

    For the price, I'm not really sure. Some of the "marketers' will devalue the product.

    For me, if the product is really good, then you can sell it for higher price. Else, you can sell it for the min price stated in the terms or give it as a bonus for your own product.
