I am really confused regarding this. Some say that you will get penalized because google will view this as duplicate content and others say that it is a great way of getting backlinks. I am thinking of following the middle path..submit unique articles to 4-5 article directories..and then mass submit a single article to many directories by using isnare. What i need to know is whether mass submitting works in creating good links? Thanks
I think you can experiment once with the mass article directory submission and based on the response that you get from the serach engines; you should decide that whether this trick works in an effective manner or it's just a sheer waste of time and energy.
not worth much SEO wise, better start multiple blogs on worpress etc.. and distribute your own content. in time (and it takes time) this blogs will gain PR and worth more for SEO (you gotta create links for then from other places: maybe article sites are good for that)
I've personally tested mass article submission. It does not work long term. I had an initial boost for my site, and then it dropped out when Google deindexed all the duplicate content. I would use a manual article spinner (not that automated junk) and make each article 30% unique and then bulk submit those articles. The content and backlinks will stick.
ok..what about squidoo and hubpages? and also getting just 3-4 links from paid directories such as botw, joeant etc..will it be enough? i mean there is very minimal benefit of submitting to 100s of free directories right?
Mass article submission to hundreds of sites is not worth it, even to more than twenty sites is not worth it.. Using an article re-writer and manually proofreading each one before it goes out can be very effective!
Ideally, you should create unique articles when you submit them to article directories. But it's also ok to submit the same article to different directories, just make sure it can't be found in your actual site.
@seohelp: Excellent point there. Many people just follow what so called experts say. It's easy to try these things once and decide if they are worth spending money / time in future. @OP: There is no duplicate content penalty, there are only 'duplicate content filters'. Remember google directory is a duplicate of dmoz.
You can try it but in my experience ezinearticles is the only article directory I use. I tried mass submissions once and I wont try it again.
I've tried submitting to multiple article directories with different articles. I still get the most traffic from ezinearticles. The other directories combined don't bring me as much as ezinearticles.
I agree with Jericho, I learned a long time ago that focusing on only quality based results is much less time consuming, and more effective.
guys I dont think even a simple article submission is working these days after laster serp update. No article pages are getting indexed.
