hi, as title says. Does it really work? Lets say my site is all about traffic exchange. Since the users of such sites use site to exchange the traffic and they are manual, they do it not for money but to get some traffic. If they saw my advertisement they might consider to visit my site. Is it worth psending $6 per 1000 views on such sites?
Advertising in traffic exchanges might not be the most effective way, but it's easy and free. You can drive thousands of visitors to your sites with little effort. Unlike in "autosurfs", visitors you get from manual traffic exchanges will actually look at your page. The following list of traffic exchanges is often checked and updated. You can be sure that they all will work and deliver traffic to your site. Some of these also have additional features, like geotargeting or banner exchanges.
There are too many people advertising "how to get leads" or "how to use traffic exchanges properly" on traffic exchanges. Many people also suggest to use a free report lead capture page to get build your list. The problem is that everyone and their brother is doing the same thing, so they are not as effective as they used to be. I recently started testing matrix program review pages in traffic exchanges. I give a short review on a matrix program I joined and give the visitor the option to get a duplicate review page with his/her referral links plugged in if they join the matrix program from my referral link. So far, according to my web logs, people are actually staying on my pages long enough to actually read them. Now if I can just get more click thrus and signups!! If you want to use traffic exchanges, go to TrafficHoopla to get an updated list of the best rated ones out there. Hope this helps.
I think you can't make any money from the traffic you get through traffic exchange since everyone has the same intention as yours. However, it will certainly help in the SEO as it show in an increase in the number of visitors to your site.
I'm selling discounted (20% of the regular price, 5 times lower) credits for Traffic-Splash and StartXchange. PM if you're interested.
If they "surfed" via a search method they would be more useful, as they would affect the search engines, as apposed to just being traffic.
Being that i've been in this industry for a while the key to traffic exchanges is having a good splash or interesting product. i've made alot of money off traffic exchanges but i've had alot of failures too, a huge ingriedient to traffic exchanges in riding the wave sometimes. like if a product is hot or if you see alot of people pushing a particular product sometimes its a good idea to jump on board. Another is splash pages, although it also depends on how you use the splash page. an idea is to have an auto responder and place it at the top right hand corner. When i did this i had sign rate at 2 for every 100 might sound not so good but it's usually the reality when dealing with traffic exchanges. hope this helps i'm in the industry so i have some ideas and things that I test out.
Personally i disagree with this statement, but there is some truth to it, One thing is traffic exchange traffic doesnt help you in SEO as far as I know. It does however get the information about your products out to the masses, which in turn can help people to start talking about you and your products which can help SEO lol but to say traffic exchanges helps SEO by just signing up is not true. The best way help you in SEO is to write articles and Blogs and get backlinks. Theres alot of free internet training courses online that show people how to do this. But for anyone looking to get SEO traffic exchanges are not the best way!
Tried manual surf sites 5 years ago - result=waste of bandwith. Cheapest traffic with some quality I found so far is CPV
