Does 'Making Sub-Folders' help in SEO ?

    Hello,

    I have been trying to find out if 'Making Sub-Folders' help for SEO. Like which one of these would be best for SEO ?

    a) mobile-softwares-nokia.html
    b) mobile-softwares/nokia.html
    c) mobile-softwares/nokia-applications.html
    d) mobile-softwares/nokia-softwares.html
    e) mobile-softwares/nokia-applications/
    f) mobile-softwares/nokia-softwares/

    What do you guys think ??

    if you have other brand too i guess it is better you use such as nokia folder or motorola folder. so it could be /mobile-softwares/nokia/page.html or /mobile-softwares/motorola/page.html

    With regard to your example, I'd go with this:

    example.com/mobile-software/nokia/

    And then from there list whatever software that Nokia has (again, ignoring the file extension - mod_rewrite can be VERY helpful in this regard), or happens to be compatible with Nokia's products, depending on what the site is about, of course.

    That way you don't have to worry about keywords being duplicated or having to 301 redirect your pages whenever you switch from one language to another (such as HTML to PHP, or PHP to ASP, or ASP to JSP and so forth...).

    Also note I said mobile-software, not mobile-softwares (yes, I do understand it's probably a translation issue, no I'm not trying to offend you, and yes, I do apologize if I did despite my efforts not to; just thought you'd want to rank better for "software" instead of "softwares").
