Does lower/upper case letters on anchor text matter in SEO?

    Does it matter?

Example anchor text: "USA team" or "usa team"

What do you prefer? How will the SE bots read that? Will they read that as both "usa team" even if the 1st one is upper case?

    TIA

nope. Bots don't read that, but careful with your metatag description because if you go all caps it'll look stupid and no one will enter your site.

Everything is set to lowercase when google scans your page, if you want to test how relevant your backlinks are you can run them through this - http://www.rethinknetworks.com/?do=keyword-density-tool

I don't think they are different. They have the same effect in Google's eyes.

A query is just a request to eliminate millions of choices and narrow it down to the keywords placed in a specific array which determine the order of importance and contextual reference. Change the order of the query and new results are produced (even if it is through using capital or lower case letters the results can change) as emphasis plays a huge role in relevance.

On a side-note, anchor text (the text in the link and volume of links with related anchors) plays a big role in this phenomenon (for scoring relevance for pages in the SERPs). Without the proper dynamic for internal links or a high threshold of deep links to a page, sitemap or some method to feed the page adequate link flow, it will fall short of the objective (and end up on page 2 or beyond).

That would be search engine dependent although most search engines (including Google) are case insensitive.

In Google? Please show an example where results change by using a capital letter in the query.
It is my belief and my understanding that Google does not consider the case whatsoever.

I am curious to see evidence that shows otherwise.

Browntwn is correct. Google does NOT care about case. They DO care about singular vs. plural, but NOT case. If you're seeing slightly different results at Google w/ case then it's a result of personalization and has nothing to do with case.

Lower/upper case letters doesn't matter in SEO. Google will provide you same result when you search with lower/upper case letters.

I don't think that it will effect more SERPs but all capital keyword don't look good.
