Hello. I have been trying to get more traffic to my website by using longtail keywords and social bookmarking my blog post as well to at least 70 sites. I usually choose keywords that are low competition but I only get about 100 visitors....if that I was just wondering, does long tail keywords work for you when social bookmarking, and if so, how do you go about creating the perfect long tail keywords into a title?
100 traffic is good from the keywords and beside embeded the long tail with your article, activate eacy of your article with there own each sitemaps and then published it with your already social networks actions, and if you have resources you can buy press release /squidoo to link back your article directory
The whole thing about using longtails is you have to target loads of them, as each longtail of itself gets a low volume of searches, but cumulatively get enough of them working for you and it can build up into useful numbers - it's a strategy that can work, but it takes time and work.
Yes long tail keywords are an excellent way to get traffic, I get about 400 uniques daily from one of them, which ranks on top of google. It's not that difficult to create a long tail keyword, for example ideal long tail keywords for "weight loss" would be "how to lose weight fast" "how to lose weight while maintaining a healthy diet" Stuff like that! just be creative m8
ugh. The next poster will be saying he gets 500.... lol shut up, you moron. You don't even know what is going on.
I have to try this approach. I feel that it is very difficult to compete with high pagerank sites on short keyword titles.
Here's my 2 cents: When you go for long tail keywords, whether in your articles for the directories, social bookmarking, etc., you can't expect to get a lot of traffic. So why use long tail keywords then? Simply because the traffic you're getting from long tail keywords are LASER TARGETED. Hope that helps. Jabe
The truth is, sajae102, when buying a product not many use a term more than a few words when doing a search. For example, many, many "super affiliates" make money off of generic products, like, Viagra. You think people are typing in anything other than either Viagra or generic Viagra? It's good that you should have long tail keywords as this improves your odds, but the reality is it is not all that. It is just a hyped-up subject, making it appear that it is really something, when in reality it is not. You are getting, what, around 10 hits a day (this is normal, by the way)? Expect, basically, the same with long tail keywords. That is, if you are lucky enough to even land high with the terms.
Ive been trying this a little bit, I find it can take alot of work for little traffic sometimes. Its all about keyword research though I guess. Quite easy once you have cracked it I bet
