Hi All, I have seen on this forum, and also through some emails, that some people are selling "Word links" on their sites. These being a page of keywords linking to external sites. I have read through SEO books that having too many out going links on a single page are bad and as these pages have lots of them would it be considered by SE's to be just a link farm and therefore a waste of time and money? Your thoughts would be much appreciated.
I seriously doubt MillionDollarHomepage lookalikes are going to rank well (no good content whatsoever), unless one of them becomes hugely popular through word of mouth and everyone starts posting links to it. Then again, MillionDollarHomepage was the first, so it worked, now there are just too many copycats around... You might be missing a point here. It's not bad to have a thousand links on your page per se, unless it's just links. If all your links appear in a useful, natural context, Google won't think it a link farm (but PR will be spread accordingly, between all the links). And vice-versa: if you have a hundred stupid links with no context/content -- this is definitely not the way going around doing things. Anyway, all the MillionDollarHomepage lookalikes are not created for SEO purposes. They are created to make money selling novelty ideas (not that this is much of a novelty anymore ). Warkot
Thanks for the reply Warkot. I was looking around this morning and found that my question has been answered in a different thread. Thanks again.
