Does Link from Class C IP make any difference in case of link building?

Yeah I think it has the quality to do so in case of optimizing a site.Cause when search engine try to find out from how many uniquely different domains your site is being linked it only catches those class c IP.As an example if anyone have 10 sites in a single domain and all of thenm have got pr ; then most of the people would delighted to have link from his/her sites. But when search engines try to find out the domain listing it will randomly select a page among those and consider a single IP.So at the end of the job you will be linked back from a single domain .And that's what the search engines respect more then the usual link building.

Please post your valuable thought against this thread.I am a learner and your thought will be highly appreciated .
Best regards to all of you.

If loads of your links are coming from the same IP then they will be devalued. If its a case that its only a few links then there is no issue.

Don't forget that thousands of sites are sometimes on the same server so you probably have some links from the same IP.

    HI mad4,
Thanks mad4.But dont you think that whenever search engine searches for link domain then it will definitely give the value of 1 only if you have a numerable links from a single domain. And as per my knowledge the more link domain your site will have the more it will increase it's position in search engine ranking.
    Looking for your reply.
    Best regards.

The thing is that they can devalue you for all links being on same IP. However as mad4 stated, your hosting company could have you and a 100 other sites on one IP. This is the problem and I'm not 100% sure there.

However if you link from the same CPool then you really should not have a problem. Look at guys @ the Planet, ev1servers, servint, thses are huge guys and they have hundreds of thousands of domains between them. and each one of these guys has an allotted IP pool.

So my though is that you COULD be penalised on the same IP, but IP pool ranges should be safe, I'd even go as far as to say, if the IPs were right next to each other.

Please keep in mind, that this is all an educated guess.

It's generally accepted that links from the same class C range may be devalued, ESPECIALLY if the whois data shows the same owner, and even more so if their on the same IP. That's not to say they WILL be devalued, but I'd say it's likely.
