I practiced Link exchange with related sites back in 2002 and it worked well . Haven't been into SEO for years and am wondering if this thing is still working ..

    Thx

If the website is well indexed site:example.com you can see how many pages it has. Make sure it has similar amount of pages and PR the same or similar to yours. Being in a related niche makes the most sense for this to work. I don't see why it wouldn't but relevancy is key imo.

I hope it should work if the site you link are most relevant and won't indulge in selling and buying links.

I don't waste my time with such methods ...

One way links count and work the best

A little link exchange is ok. A lot of link exchanges are bad. Go read through the google webmaster guidelines. Its says that webmasters shall not participate in link building schemes to manipulate page rank.

I went ahead and found the article for you so you dont have to look for it.

If the link exchanged is located at the main page or high traffic pages. Then, it will really help.

Yes it can be possible, because link building is works like a supplement for any site but it should be done in proper way.

Yes, 3 way link exchange still works good.

I have seen many big companies using this method for competitive term as well. I was working in a company where the main keyword was to optimize is "computer support" and they were using only link exchange method.

You get one-way links when you leave comments at forums or blogs with your link. Whoever is interested may click on your link after reading your intelligent comments, and visit your website. However, at your website they won’t find a link back to the site where they found a link that sent them to your website. This is why it is a One-Way link.

There are also reciprocal links, where two webmasters agree to exchange links. Reciprocal links don’t help your website’s ranking, while one-way links help your site’s ranking, especially if you leave comments in blogs with a high PR (Page ranking – which should be above 4 at least).

I advise you to read more about this matter because you must know how to use the power of one-way links for your website’s linkbuilding. You’ll find many free articles with information about this matter if you’ll type ‘one-way links’ on a search engine, like Google.
