Does Link Exchange really help?

I have to agree with most peoples opinions that link exchange seems to do little for ranking. Initially its okay for new websites, but if your in a competitive industry exchanging in directories wont do anything. Link baiting is the best and fastest way to get lots of inbound links that are aslo relavent to your site. Once I discovered how effective link baiting is all other methods are second best.

 

link exchange may not help u much,,look for one way links or atleast 3 way link exchange...thats the best way to get links.

 

of course link exchange really help, but only the advanced techniques. As I said, read my sig.

 

link exchange is used for getting page rank of your site if you are using some anchor keyword(target keyword) to link your site that will support your site for that particular keyword to rank your site.

one thing i want to tell you if you want to check backlinks for your site go to the yahoo put the query like Link:http://www.yourdomain.com because google might not show the accurate result.

 

If you really need to do link exchange, it would be better to have 3-way link exchange rather than reciprocal exchange.

 

doesn't article marketing work much better than link exchange??? give me some Info on this I'm a newbee?

As per my opinion Link exchange is not fully worth as some people say here but it is useful when we have doing Relevant link exchange and also when we get Link Back from .edu and .gov site it would be definitely help you to get more traffic on your site.

link exchange can help you much more if you build one way links to your sites and do remember that you are getting links from very much related sites, well reputed sites, good ranking sites and do consider the age of linking site and good quality sites...........
