Does Link Exchange help?

hello mates,

I am new to the world of link exchange so if you guys can tell me does this help in Page rank?

I mean if I have a web design Blog PR 3 or so... if I exchange links will related sites wont my site PR go down if I have too many outgoing links?

How does this work out.. Thanks in advance for replying

no it won't go down, and yes it can help but not as some years ago. Better to get some one way links from different related niche spots

 

technically yes, but on the other hand, if your site doesn't look 'natural', PR wont do you any good anyway.

 

So if I have a PR 2 site and I exchange links from Blogroll and they give me link from their blogroll, it wont lose its PR ? So why do they say 20 Outgoing links only?

 

you need different ips and whois protection i think and dont change a - b

 

dont focus on PR as it is not directly related to traffic or ranking. what u need is to get ranked high in search results that will bring you the needed traffic. in terms of ranking, link exchange doesn't help much anymore the way it used to before. however, if you find a quality site in your niche and can exchange links with them, you should do that as relevant quality site backlinks will help you a lot. but i would not suggest you to drive a link exchange campaign which would mostly be a waste of time

 

Actually those who say pr is not directly related to ranking is still living in a black world. The central nervous system of the system of ranking in google is pagerank, but, it doesn't mean that low pr site will not rank up higher than a high pr one for the same keywords.


On topic, link exchanges can do you good when and if done wisely. The trick and charm to a succesful link exchange is the secret of 'keeping balance' in both inbounds n outbounds.

Yes, it helps a lot. but i would prefer to do 3 way link exchange.

This really is an interesting aspect of the internet marketing and link building world, but from my experiance there is nothing better than a relevant link exchange no matter what the PR if they are in your niche exchange.
