does language of incoming links affect on page position?

    im targeting US visitors that speak spanish. my website is in spanish.

    should i get just links from US spanish written sites?

    or will it help if i get links from US english written sites?

    Butterly cheated different languages just if by that you are targeting different sections of the world population and that you have to start building backlinks for such websites

    English links would help, even for spanish keywords.
    Spanish links would help more, for spanish keywords.

    And... If your visitors come from Google.com, english version, but search with spanish keywords, then links in english would be very valuable, because they makes Google value your site in Google.com searches (even if the keywords they search for are Spanish), as long as the Google language settings the searches have are set to English.

    US spanish sites are best for you. Enlglish sites are good too, because you are targeting US visitors.
