does language mather for pagerank or SE Positions; lets say i got a dutch site and an english one, should I link these?
If google has a regional search for your country / region then serps may be different depending on where people search.
Localisation for google works in three ways , the language the domain where the webserver is located (ip nr country lookup) for linking it is not important (yet) but it will influence if the site will rank well in a localised google like google.nl
I have a dutch site as well. Can it rank high on google.nl when almost all the IBL's are from english sites?
if you want to rank well on google.nl you need a .nl domain or a .com/.net/org on a webserver with a dutch ip nr and all the other SEO google ranking stuff ... You can lookup ip country origin for europe at http://www.ripe.net , just put the ip in the whois search box, you will see the info on the provider and the country of origin
haha "it can affect rankings affect - verb effect - noun. sorry couldn't resist. Klaas, sorry to hear you have a broken shoulder, hope you get better soon.
LOL - I had to edit it myself 4 times already... Last edited by Dio : Today at 9:04 pm. Reason: typos and general poorness
