Does language effect google search engine rankings?

Does anyone know if having course language on your site effects anything with Google search engine rankings. Specifically does it have a negative effect?

 

I don't know about negative ,but it does limit your audience to your language lol.

 

multi language sites of course have MUCH greater audience
IF you do the correct multi lingual publishing and SEO
never mix 2 or more languages on ONE page
properly declare your language in each HTML page
always make sure your charset configuration is clear for all languages
for multi lingual sites it has been proven best to have all site in UTF8
I have 4 major languages on most of my content and have as a result of multi lingual more twice the traffic I would have for an english only site.

however
when checking your SERPS you need to use the G search from the target country else you get false results.

 

Basically, it won't give negative effect to your ranking.

 

I think it a positive effect to your reader because other reader who don't understand English can still read your site content.

 

yes that will br give negetive result to your rankings bcoz of the google's basic algo for serps that the spiders always giving the priority to mathing words. and when u used ur keyword in dfifferent language then spiders can not understand that and may be your serps not down but not increase also
