Does "KEYWORDS" in HTML files really mean something?

Some say that now search results are very little depend on the keywords you put in <meta name="KEYWORDS" content="">. Is it really like so? Does this mean I don't need to put lots of keywords in each of my html page?

Ofcourse Google does not give importance to keywords meta tags, but other SEs do considers it. But don't try to dump too much of keywords

That's right, google place little importance on meta keyword tag now. But some other small engines still using it. I will suggest you add this tag in your pages, because it's better than nothing.
