If yes, let's say i have a paragraph with 100 words, and i am optimizing this article for specific keyword like "search engine optimization"

How many times i should repeat this keyword phrase in my 100 word paragraph

I think keyword density must not exceed 10%. Just my thoughts.

I've analysed top ranking sites for highly competitive keywords using my keyword analysis software.

Those top sites have keyword densities of about 1.25%.

This is the trend I see on Google.

There are even other cases whereby the top ranking site has not a single word at all but has pictures or multimedia instead and they rank that high solely because of its usefulness to visitors and the amount of backlinks it has from other websites.

Density plays a miniscule amount of weight in the overall algo!

...and if anything it would be on a comparative basis, surely. If page A has x% and page B has (x+1)% etc. There can't be a constant that's best.

Just make your text look natural, you wouldn't ever say the same word ten time in a sentance in real life so don't write it on your site. I aim for <10%

This page ranks #2 for "Click here to enter site" when I search in Google. It has KD=100%.
