I don't know if its coincadence or what but ever since I put a comment component on my web site which is a javascript ajax component, google bot hardly ever crawls my site anymore.

Is this normal should I remove the component.

    My site is www.scriptmob.com

As far as I know, Googlebot cannot crawl any java code well as it used to crawl with normal HTML, but I heard from somewhere that Googlebot can crawl macromedia flash and some of java applet a little.

Adding JS or AJAX to your site has nothing to do with it not being crawled...you need to add content to it more often. If you haven't added content in a while...Google will eventually stop checking in as often.

javascript does not stop bots...... it give them a quick way to quit from your page :D

Search engines can not view your page content written by javascript or ajax. Never use scripting for writing content, because they are not readable by SE's

Use as much Javascript and AJAX as you want...spiders will just ignore them (but will NOT leave the page). Just don't put any content into the JS because they won't be able read it.

In your case, the comment form contains no content so you don't have anything to worry about.

google can read javascript. As proof i looked at a page of mine (that has a js powered drop down menu) in the google analytics site overlay section. They know exactly where all the links are on that page including all the drop down links.

Though G can read javascript to a degree its definatly recommended that you don't use much js which will have content in it. Try a php powered comment system, then you'll have more static pages.

How often are you adding content to the site? If you aren't doing it everyday, that probably explains why Googlebot is only coming by weekly.

Its true. If you update the content on your website regularly, Google bot will show interest to crawl your website i.e. within less span of interval.

I experienced this with my website. Previously the bot visiting my website every one month. After updating the content weekly twice, now the google bot visiting within every 5 to 10 days.

No, as long as your javascripts are externalized
