Does javascript affect link value??

My question is I have a javascript program that I can make changes to my links as far as text link and destination url. it is all done thru javascript and I would like to know if my links value would be the same as if I did it in html? when you look at the page it looks exactly the same but if you view the page source it shows the javascript. I just added one link today so I have not tested to see if yahoo has picked it up or not. If yahoo picks it up then I assume I am getting link value out of it but if they do not then I assume no link value. Any thoughts??

 

Nope, search engines don't read javascripts or flash. Use the proper HTML hyperlink mark-up.

 

Ya...i think so too as long as you dont do too much javascript redirect...it should be fine

I am not sure but there might be little bit look by SE's on Javascript within the link code.
