Does it worth To buy link from Alive Directory

Does it worth To buy link from Alive Directory , What are the benifits.
What about traffic , any one have site with Alive Directory.

I would say yes, Alive Directory is PR7, and most imp its one of the most highly promoted directories. You can surely expect it to be PR8-9 one day and internal will again surely get better PR.

It's worth ,definitely..There are many inner pages with high PR and you'll benefit from it..
Aviva Directory is worth you money as well.
These two directories have been promoted heavily .

 

Chris, has kept the same rates that was when it was PR4. Its PR7 now.. you must hurry up buying yourself a link.

my answer will be Alivedirectory. simple

 

The the one thing i like about alive is that it is being promoted heavily and traffic is bound to come...the PR is an added bonus

So definetely buying a link in alive is worth the money

 

Could anyone explain what you guys mean by 'its promoted heavily'. I don't want to question authority of Alive Directory but curious to know what makes worth it.

 

Regarding the traffic,you could browser any category and click the '[Read more]' link.In the details page,there's a 'Number Hits' column.That's the amount of the visits that alivedirectory generates for your site.

 

By "heavily promoted" they mean that Alive is listed in every directory nearly and that too as a featured link on almost 80% of the directories that i have been through,besides it has thousanda of backlinks,tons of signature links,tons of advertisements and so on and on.....

 

yes, it does worth to have a link from any PR7 site, including Alive.

Alright I see your points, however this is what I think

The way I see this kind of promotion is for 'self', its to market the directory to potential link buyers. Its not targeted to the general internet audience which is looking for site and they find it on particular directory. I have been using internet for 6 years and never went to directory site searching for what I needed, I always use search engine.

So heavily promoted directory may not necessarily help the buyer of link on that directory in terms of getting traffic. (Just to underscore this point, I checked the outgoing hits on most popular link on aviva, its 78 since April 15th).

I agree on this point though, having inbound link from high PR page helps and with the general price of permanent listing its totally worth it

 

It's worth it.Alive is well ranked in google and got a PR7 and i think Alive Dir deserve pr8-9 As if you look on the number of backlinks it have including pr8 PR7 backlinks

Alive Directory (along with Aviva) are two of the most higly promoted firectories and every webmaster should list there site because you know the value of your link will only go up and never down (in both pr and traffic) because the owners spend tons of money

a few paid directires I have submitted to (i dont want to say any names) basically bombed on pr (ex. uncoverthenet)

 

Check my post just above about 'heavily promoted'. There is benefit from having high PR backlink, but I don't see anyone getting considerable traffic from these directories (I could be wrong).

I don't know what you mean by its 'ranked well in google', but I didn't see any directory we see here in top 10 for major keywords like directory, web directory, internet resource directory etc etc. I even tried the keywords in title of Alive (like: Internet Site Resources, Internet Site Resources - Shopping - basically taken from site query on alive) and didin't see it in top 10.

By the way: I don't have anything against any of directories mentioned here. My opinion are generic to any directory for that Matter. I know owner of Alive and he is a nice chap

Update: Someone just gave me red rep for my post (shruggs!)

 

It's on my best paid directory list. It will be moving up with it's much improved PR.
