Does it take more than 48hours to propagate?

I registered a new domain and it's now more than 48hours and my domain is still not propagated. From my experience all my other domains only took like a day to propagate. Does it really take more than 48hours to propagate? could this be a registrar problem or host?

 

Some ext's can take longer (up to 72hrs+). Care to share the reg house?

 

I'm using this registrar http://star.registerbird.com/. My other domains are registered using that same registrar and it only took a day.

 

1) refresh your cache and/or try a different browser
2) try to access your site from a web proxy (list at proxy.org)

 

yes, as the 2nd poster said.. It can take up to 72 hours, but most will change over in 24.. at least the ones I use.

It usually takes less than a day, but can take upto 48 hours.

It might have already propogated but you wouldn't know because;
- You haven't clearted your cache and retried
- Your DNS Cache is still showing the old domain's details (you can't do anything about this, than just wait - it's something your ISP does)

 

I purchased and hosted many sites. me all tooks 8-24 hrs .. better go for good registrar and host.. me was with godaddy....

 

Wait up to 72hrs then if still no change then contact your registrar.
