Does it really work?

I read somewhere that we can get direct PR10-9-8 easily even without doing nothing. Here is method below but do not know it will work or not. I just read somewhere so thought should ask to experts here.

The method is putting "Redirect 301 /index.php http://www.google.com" redirect code(without quote) in .htaccess file so it will redirect to Google automatically. And Google will give PR on next update. So question is does it really work? I know it will be FAKE PR but isn't it fast method to give your site value?

No, it wont work....on the contrary there is chance that you get penalized for it.
Fake PR is to deceive the people not google. if you get high fake pr rank and show some newbie who dont know about fake pr, he might get deceived by you but thats cheating.
And Google is not going to be cheated by this.

It may work for fake PR if you are trying to scam someone that is new. It is only good if you are trying to sell a site to someone and rip them off. As far as Google, they will catch it and most likely your site will end in a ban from the index. Experienced webmaster will see through the trick and your rep and the website rep will be useless. It is better to do things the honest way and build good links to get higher PR.
