Does It Hurt To Host Multiple W.P. Blogs on One HostGator Account?

Will it cause any problems for me, SEO or otherwise, to host multiple blogs on the same HostGator account. I understand they will be subdomains. I won't be linking them together or anything because they're different niches, but I wanted to make sure it was okay to do this. The techs at HosGator said it would be fine, but wanted to make sure.

    Thanks

Hurt? Doubt it. Matt Cutts has said time and time again that google sees subdomains as separate sites.

The only thing that would concern me is the linking together and you're already taking that into account.

Heck, I link mine sites together and it hasn;t hurt them.

No. Hostgator hosts over 2,000,000 domains. They handle it very well and wouldn't hurt your Wordpress blogs.

nah do it, I host blogs and webpages alike on my hostmonster account and I am satisfied. Many blogs, many sites. And I'm always excited to add new content under the same hosting account(IP --I have dedicated ip) , because I like to imagine another quality site increases the overall credibility of my ip address, which means respect! But thats probably just an imagination of mine. A good one though.

Thanks. I have many sites hosted with Homestead covering a variety of niches, and they're all subdomains of each other, and I've never had any problems, so I was hoping it would be the same with HostGator.

    Hi

HG has some restrictions over the number of files hosted. And a WP installation cause too many number of files to be hosted - so beware if you are gonna host 3 or 4 wp blogs together

Depends on the size of your account, but if your account is big enough, there shouldn't be a problem. If you want to get technical, you could have separate IP addresses for each (or only put a couple on each IP address).

I don't know HG's account options, but I have a rather large account with my host and have well over 50 websites hosted on one account.
