Hi, I have a Nokia E71 mobile phone, with integrated GPS feature. I just want to know if it will incur any form of data charges if I were to use the GPS feature only? Thanks!
Nokia E71 have both GPS and A-GPS. You will not be charge anything if you use GPS only. But if A-GPS is used, there will be a data charges. - Dynashox -
I dont think they charge you for data charges but i think they charge you a subscription for using the facilty which are 2 differant things !!!
A-GPS will working automatically if the GPS signal is not good, for example if you are inside of a building. If you don't want to be charge for the data use, disable the A-GPS function on your phone. Refer to your phone manual how to do it. - Dynashox -
This is definitely something new, which I am completely unaware of. I'll take a look at the manual tonight.
