I read that making multiple backlinks from the same IP address makes the links get de-valued. Is this true? So even if I'm making backlinks from a ton of article directories and web 2.0 sites and what not, does Google think of them as less important since they essentially know it's me building the links and not someone else who really found the content relevant and wanted to link back to it? If so, I'll just start changing my IP everytime I'm going to post a new backlink but obviously that would become a hassle and I'd rather not do it if in fact they don't look at IP.
if you build backlinks using one specific article directory and continue using that same site, then after certain point your links will start getting devalued. if you have 1000 links pointing to your site from one specific site, not all 1000 links will give you the same value as the first link. thats why sitewide links that used to work like charm at one point dont do that wonder anymore
Oh ok, I see what you mean. So they don't care if I post 1000 links to my site from all different sites? Each link will still hold full value regardless of IP right?
I think your understanding is correct, poost 1000 links to your site from all different sites, thr have a problem too.not everylink could be crawl by GG. So you must select hi-pr site to build links.
I understand the whole thing about PR and all that I was just curious about IP address but I got it figured out now. Thanks for the responses.
There are hard-proof on this issue. But, I suggest you to get unique IP backlinks to get more credit. We will get more benefit from 2 backlinks from 2 unique IP domains compared to 2 backlink from one IP.
